"ACE" Aviation Career Education Academies for Teens
June 10 - 14, 2008
This week-long summer academy explores aviation careers and includes tours aviation related businesses,
air traffic control tower, hands-on activities such as building rockets and balsa wood airplanes,
resource speakers, hand-outs, mini-ground school and actual hands-on flying in aircraft provided by members,
and local volunteers. This partnership program is sponsored by the Vintage Flying Museum, FAA, and the
Organization of Black Airline Pilots. Tuition is free!

Aerospace Education Workshop
Professional Development for Educators
"Lesson Plans That Fly"
July 15 - 16, 2008
Aerospace Education Workshop for teachers is offered annually in partnership with the Vintage
Flying Museum, FAA and Tarrant County College, N.W. Campus, Fort Worth, Texas. Continuing education credit
is provided. This workshop includes A curriculum guide listing aviation education resources, materials,
hands-on activities, and brochures. Teachers receive a copy of “Lesson Plans That Fly”, (published through
a grant received by the Vintage Flying Museum). Tours of the aviation industry and airplane rides are
included in this fast-paced workshop.
